El Clasico, Real Madrid v Barcelona: Full highlights, final score and more

Full video highlights and results
from El Clasico between Real
Madrid and Barcelona.

This game was supposed to be a competitive
clash between the two teams at the top of the
La Liga table. It was all Barcelona basically from
the jump, even with Lionel Messi, who was
returning from injury, starting on the bench.
Luis Suarez opened the scoring with a goal in
the 11th minute and the Catalan side never let
up the pressure. Andres Iniesta was brilliant with
passes to the forward line, even finding Neymar
for a goal on a shorter pass at the end of the
first half.
Neymar returned the favor by setting up an
Iniesta golazo with a backheel pass early in the
second half to take a 3-0 lead.
Despite the wide margin, Barcelona still
substituted Messi onto the pitch instead of
resting him further.
James Rodriguez was brilliant for Real Madrid
and nearly had two goals, but he left the game
early picking up a knock.
Cristiano Ronaldo was relatively quiet until the
second half when he got in on goal, Claudio
Bravo making an incredible save.
Barcelona kept attacking and pouring it on,
Suarez finding the back of the net to extend the
lead to 4-0. It was a similar player on goalkeeper
that Ronaldo had just faced, Suarez getting the
better of Keylor Navas.
Neymar started getting the frustrations of the
Real Madrid team. Two hard fouls on Neymar
resulted in a yellow card for Carvajal in the 83rd
minute and a red card for Isco in the 84th
minute.
Neymar almost got a second assist in the final
minutes of the game, but the redirect from Munir
went wide.
Ronaldo got another shot on goal from right in
front, but Bravo once again made another
remarkable save to keep the shutout intact.

THREE STARS.....

Neymar- Neymar made a big impact on this game,
creating goal scoring opportunities and
nearly scoring off a free kick. Neymar
eventually added a second goal in the 39th
minute to give the team a 2-0 lead. He had
an open Suarez, but kept the goal for
himself. In the second half, Neymar returned
the favor by setting up Iniesta with a
beautiful backheel pass.

Iniesta- Iniesta was an integral part of the game,
setting up his teammates for shots and
goals. Iniesta finally got a goal of his own in
the second half off a beautiful backheel
pass from Neymar. Brilliance was all around
Iniesta on the field today.

Suarez- Luis Suarez got the goal scoring started,
giving Barcelona a lead roughly 11 minutes
into the game. It was Suarez’s fifth straight
game with a goal for Barcelona, his longest
scoring streak with the club. Given his
single goal, I almost left Suarez off the
three stars list, but he added a second in
the 74th minute.

Honourable mention

Bravo- Bravo kept Barcelona in the game, twice
turning away brilliant strikes from James
Rodriguez. He also stuffed Cristiano Ronaldo
who was in on goal all alone.
