Man United considering £40m swoop for Brazilian starlet
Manchester United are going to attempt to
outbid German giants Bayern Munich in order to
secure the services of Brazilian Felipe Anderson,
according to The Mirror.
Anderson, who is already a full international with
Brazil at the age of 22, has attracted interest
The creative midfielder signed for Lazio from his
original club Santos in 2013, and since then has
played 54 times for the Rome club, scoring 14
goals.
In the mould of so many other Brazilian creative
players, Anderson has an eye for a pass and a
shot, with pace and skill giving him the edge in
most one on one battles.
United could offer as much as £40million for
Anderson, who Bayern value at £35m.
Manager Louis van Gaal was reportedly
interested in securing Anderson's services in the
summer, but was not prepared to pay the asking
price of £57m, which is the Brazilian's buy-out
clause.
