Manchester United have rebuffed an offer from Manchester City for 16-year-old midfielder Callum Gribbin, according to reports.

The Sunday People report that City offered the
teenager £11,000-a-week to swap Old Trafford
for the Etihad, but the United hierarchy were
keen to keep hold of their midfield starlet, via the
Mirror.
The youngster penned a four-year deal with the
Red Devils earlier this year, with manager Louis
van Gaal said to be an admirer of the talented
teen.
United and City drew 0-0 in the first Manchester
derby of the season last weekend, with van
Gaal’s side now trailing Manuel Pellegrini’s men
by four points in the table following their 0-0
draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on
Saturday.
City overcame Norwich at the Etihad by the skin
of their teeth, with a late Yaya Toure penalty
sealing the win for the Citizens after Cameron
Jerome had levelled the scores at 1-1 on 83
minutes.
Both teams are in action in the Champions
League this week, with United hosting CSKA
Moscow and City travelling to Sevilla.
