Barcelona star Neymar stopped from wearing headband by referee, does not react well at all
The Brazilian forward had to give up his lucky
headgear ahead of Barca's match with
Villarreal and he was none too pleased about
it...

Many top footballers have their own special
pre-match habits and superstitions; little
things which help them feel calm and
confident ahead of kick off.
Some of these take the form of physical
talismans - providential pants for example, or
fortuitous football boots, or serendipitous
shinpads. For Brazil and Barcelona superstar
Neymar , the donning of a lucky headband
seems to be a vital part of his warm-up
routine.
Now that lucky headband has been denied him
by a particular stickler of a referee - and
Barca's in-form front man isn't at all happy
about it.
We say it's a "lucky" headband - we're only
taking a guess based on Neymar's reaction to
being deprived of it. After wearing a similar bit
of headgear throughout Barcelona's midweek
Champions League match with Bate Borisov ,
he started to warm up in a Nike bonce-binder
ahead of the side's latest La Liga clash with
Villarreal - only for the ref to tell him to take
it off.
Neymar wore a headband midweek
Neymar looked pretty baffled with the request
- it seems that a snippy debate ensued
between him and the official. He did
eventually remove the offending item (which,
to be fair, is not regulation kit), but he must
have been seriously anxious about jinxing his
game.
He needn't have worried - he scored twice.
