Buhari inaugurates cabinet, Fashola to head power, works and housing ministry

President Muhammadu Buhari on
Wednesday inaugurated 36 ministers as
members of the Federal Executive
Council five months after his
inauguration.
His cabinet is smaller than that of his
predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, who
had 42 ministers. Under the constitution,
the president must include a member
from each of the country’s 36 states.
To set the tone for today’s swearing-in,
President Buhari, yesterday appointed
new 17 permanent secretaries and
reshuffled all current permanent
secretaries.
