Eunisell Motivates Sharks Supporters In ‘Survival Battle’

To give Sharks FC the motivation it need
to conquer visiting Kwara United in
tomorrow’s Glo Premier League match in
their new ground, Nnamdi Azikiwe
Stadium, Enugu, official shirt sponsors of
the club, Eunisell Limited, has set aside
large number of jerseys to be distributed
freely to supporters and soccer fans who
come out to cheer the Blue Angels.
The League Management Company (LMC)
has ordered Sharks FC of Port Harcourt
to play their next three home matches in
Enugu starting with the Match Day 37
fixture against Kwara United.
The decision was sequel to ruling of the
Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF)
Disciplinary Committee on an appeal
filed by Sharks FC after the LMC ruled
on the abandoned Match Day 36 fixture
against Nasarawa United in Lafia.
The LMC had relied on Article B13.26 to
fine Sharks N3m, forfeit the match to
Nasarawa United and also be docked
three points and three goals from the
already accrued points.
But the NFF Disciplinary Committee rose
from their sitting over an appeal by
Sharks and relied on Article B13.24 to
order Sharks to pay N5m, be banished to
a neutral ground and also forfeit the
three points and three goals to Nasarawa
United.
The Communications Manager of
Eunisell Limited, Kunmi Balogun, said
that the gesture is part of the company’s
effort to encourage more fans to watch
the local league.
Both Sharks FC and Kwara United are
battling for survival in the relegation
water.
The Port Harcourt-based club now sees
tomorrow’s game as an avenue to swim
to safety and Eunisell says mobilising the
fans would go a long way in helping the
club.
We hope this will encourage fans and
supporters of Sharks FC to come out and
cheer the team to victory in this all-
important game against Kwara United,”
Balogun said. “The season is almost
ending and there is no better way to
wrap it up than having a stadium filled
with supporters singing in angelic voices
to encourage the Blue Angels. That is the
kind of participation we want for our
league.”
