From Spain: Roman Abramovich wants Chelsea to sign Neymar
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich really
wants the Blues to sign Barcelona superstar
Neymar, according to Don Balon .
Neymar, 23, has been linked with a move away
from the Catalan giants as talks over him
signing a new deal continue to rumble on.
However, Don Balon claim that Chelsea are
one of the clubs who are very interested in
capturing the Brazil international.
They report that Abramovich is eager to get
the deal done and that if he gets close to
signing Neymar, he is prepared to splash big
money to seal the transfer.
Furthermore, the report from Spain also says
that the Blues have made contact with
Neymar’s representatives and are eagerly
waiting to see how his situation with
Barcelona unfolds.
Meanwhile, Neymar has excelled in Lionel
Messi’s absence recently at the Camp Nou,
with the Argentinian missing the last five
league games through injury.
The Brazilian superstar has scored a
staggering 11 goals in 10 La Liga appearances
– no player in the division has scored more
than him.
Furthermore, he’s also Barcelona’s most
creative player, laying on 36 chances for his
teammates, registering three assists.
Neymar has, as expected, been very confident
in terms of getting past his opponent. Barca’s
No.11 has completed 43 take-ons – the most
in La Liga this term.
