spirits this week after their win over CSKA
Moscow as they attended their team
Christmas party, as per the Mirror .
The Red Devils scored their first goal in over
six hours on Tuesday night, a Wayne Rooney
header that grabbed them a vital three points
in the Champions League at home to the
Russian giants.
With the spirits being raised around the camp
as a result, many were perhaps surprised to
see the squad enjoy Wednesday evening in the
town as they celebrated their Christmas party.
With Christmas over a month away, it begs the
question as to whether Louis van Gaal asked
for it to be conducted earlier than usual due to
the busy schedule at the club.
The Mirror reports that Wayne Rooney led his
team to The Place Aparthotel, where there
were bands and fire breathers providing the
entertainment inside the hotel’s nightclub.

The evening was wrapped up by 1am and
included all the first-team stars, including
manager Van Gaal and his wife.
Van Gaal recently criticised the Premier
League for not having a winter break like other
leagues across Europe, which prompted a
response from Arsene Wenger that he would
“cry” if England’s top-flight followed others,
per the Telegraph .
Manchester United’s next game is a trip to
West Bromwich Albion on the weekend as
they look to keep pace with league leaders
Manchester City and Arsenal.
