Arsene Wenger has revealed Arsenal are close to bringing in a new signing following the Gunners’ 0-0 draw with Leicester City on Saturday.

The result leaves Arsenal without a win after two games having lost their opening fixture against Liverpool at the Emirates.

Goal understands the Gunners remain confident of signing Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi and Wenger is optimistic a new signing is imminent.

“Yes we are close,” he told BT Sport. “But I would say spending in itself is not a quality. Spending and buying the right players is a quality.

“I am a bit fed up to always respond to the same things. We look and analyse absolutely everything and we have to make the right decisions.”
