The senator representing Kaduna Central district at the National
Assembly, Shehu Sani, has stated that adopting indirect form of primary
elections would not portray to the people what the All Progressives
Congress, APC, represents.
According to the lawmaker, indirect primaries carries the perception
of corruption, describing it is a breeding ground for corruption; an
incubator for corruption and a crèche for corruption.
In a post on his Twitter handle on Monday, Sani, who had earlier
hinted that he will be running for the Kaduna State governorship
election in 2019, pointed out that indirect primaries will make a mess
of the fight against corruption being pushed by the current APC
administration.
Sani wrote, ”If we fight corruption as a Government and condone it as a party,we become moral ‘moral mullatoes’.
”Indirect Primaries is a breeding ground for corruption,an incubator for corruption and a crèche for corruption.”
