Manchester City duo Nicolas Otamendi and
Martin Demichelis have been training for
Argentina with club target Nicolas Gaitan this
week.
The two centre-backs have been called up for
the double-header with South American rivals
Brazil and Colombia as Argentina bid to qualify
for the 2018 World Cup.
Boss Gerardo Martino is
looking to put an end to
their winless run with victory
over Brazil on Friday, before
facing Colombia next
Tuesday.
Argentina haven’t won any
of their last three matches
under the ex-Barcelona
boss, drawing with Paraguay
and Mexico either side of a
2-0 defeat against Ecuador
last month.
